It’s almost summer and truthfully I can’t think of a better drink on a warm sunny day than an ice cold glass of rosé. I won’t shun a skinny marg or a Moscow Mule (only if it’s in a copper mug) but today is rosé’s turn for the spotlight. It can definitely be a bit daunting standing in the rosé aisle at Bevmo or even Trader Joe’s and wondering which one to choose. They all look beautiful with their varying hues of pink and some labels may even stand out more than others but all that really matters is what’s inside. Don’t worry I’ve done all of the leg work for you 😉 and narrowed it down to my top 4.
PS. They are all under $25 🙂
1. La Ferme Julien Vin Rosé
This one is simple, light, fruity and sweet but very mild sweetness. I mean you really can’t beat the price of $4.99 (in CA) plus the fact that it is sold at my favorite store, Trader Joe’s.
This rosé wins Most Affordable.
2. Cote des Roses
Light, crisp and a little bit drier than #1. Again, this one is at a great price point for those of us who are ballin’ on a budget. What sets this one apart from the rest is it’s gorgeous bottle. Not only does this taste amazing but it looks beautiful and makes the perfect gift.
This rosé wins Most Giftable.
3. Miraval
This is a favorite among my blogger cohort. Maybe because Brad and Angie are behind this one that is produced on 150 acres of land behind Chateau Miraval in the South of France (so fancy). With roots like that you’d expect it to be pricy but thankfully it is quite reasonable at $19.97. This one definitely has more body than the first two but still has the fruity notes that we all love in a rosé.
This rosé wins Most Trendy.
4. Whispering Angel
Last but not least, Chateau d’Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé or just Whispering Angel for short. This one is so yummy, the driest out of the 4, very crisp with tropical fruity notes. This is probably my favorite on the list because it really is heavenly (hence the name). 😉 If you don’t mind spending the few extra dollars, it’s definitely worth it. This one is a great hostess or house warming gift and also comes in a pretty bottle.
This rosé wins Most Delicious.
This is a good place to start if you’re new to the rosé game or looking to make the most of your summer drinking budget. I recently got my fiancé on the rosé train and he’s heading full steam ahead, so don’t be afraid to try it guys! Also, don’t show up empty handed to all of those summer BBQ’s, bring any of these and your host or hostess will be thanking you.
